Rating: - I don't know what other people use this tool for.............
but I have found that if you lay it flat on a surface, the small air bubble will give an accurate feel for the "levelness" of the surface. Since this tool also has vials oriented in the opposite direction, you can also use it to determine if surface is plumb. Works well for both tasks, and at a great price. I bet people used something like this before there were lasers.

I needed a 4' level for framing and landscaping. This level is constructed well and when checked against my other levels, it was dead on. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't come with a case. But for $9.99, I didn't expect it would.

This level is a very well built tool, and at $10 is about $20 cheaper than at any hardware store.

I got this level as part of the special package that Amazon was running. The price was right. Home Depot carries the same product at a higher price.
It's a high quality level. I'm not a professional carpenter, but I think this level is designed well. It's straight and true. I need it to see if an 8 or 10 feet long section of trim or a stud is level, and it works well for that purpose.
